Our Mission

BGI's mission is to foster greater understanding, respect, and meaningful relationships among people of different faiths and backgrounds. 

Our objectives include:

• Increase interfaith understanding and knowledge of the diverse religious traditions represented in the Greater Rochester, New York community.

• Reduce stereotypes, misconceptions, and bias about people of different faith traditions.

• Encourage curiosity, respectful engagement, and meaningful dialogue across religious differences.

• Highlight the richness and diversity of the Greater Rochester, New York community's faith traditions and communities.

• Build lasting relationships among religious leaders, congregations, and community participants.
